I'm looking forward to seeing it. Well, it seems like I've been working on her for a really long time, and she will finally be completed with the this post. FINAL DETAILS To finish up the magazine I'll start at the light room, and go forward adding a few details into each of the various areas. The first items are the rear door, and lantern for the room. ![]() ![]() ![]() Moving next into the Filling Room the light sash shutter, leather fire bucket, and removable floor panel was made. I moved the bucket back into the light room. It seemed to be a better location than the filling room area. Before adding the shutter to the model, it's time to make the cartridge rack. Because of the irregular shape of the room I had to build this in place. I also added a few cartridges, along with a carrier. This would have been used to transport the cartridges to the guns above during a battle. After adding the shutter and removable panel the last items are several powder kegs. ![]() ![]() ![]() For the display stand I chose a simple design, painted black, to contrast the wood colors of the magazine. ![]() I've posted several additional photo's of the finished magazine in the Completed Models Forum. Just a quick note for those who have expressed an interest in a set of plans for building the magazine. I've got a few thing to do yet to get them revised to reflect the changes made while building the model. Once this is accomplished, Winston will be posting more information about obtaining them here at the Model Shipbuilder site. Jeff

It's always hard for me to find time for model shipbuilding during the Summer months. For now, time permitting, I'll be working some on the Mediator plans, along with the set for the magazine. I'm also planning on starting back on the HMS Southampton after a year in drydock ![]() Jeff
