I started by attaching the bulkhead plan to plywood with spray adhesive and then cutting the frames out with a scroll saw. The frame pieces were glued together and placed between two pieces of 3/16 plate glass. These were glass shelves my wife picked up at a yard sale. ![]() ![]()

I'm currently working on drawings for the US Brig Eagle in CAD but its slow going, so I thought to fill in time and keep my hands busy that I'd start on the Matthew soon. I have to do something here. Seems like I haven't touched a piece of wood in ages. ![]()

The keel and waterways are installed and now the hull planking is started. Here are a couple of pictures. I'm still having troulbe working at this small scale but am learning a lot and persevering.![]() ![]()

The deck furniture is stained using a light pine colour and natural for the deck itself. ![]() ![]() ![]()

I opted to rig the capstan and to provide a view of the lower deck through the upper deck planking. The Quarterdeck view includes the knees for authenticity.![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

That will have to wait for some time in the future. This has been a blast and involved 253 hours of work over 8 months. ![]() ![]() ![]()
