You have done a fantastic job of bringing together ship building practises/formulas of 18th century England as recorded with an actual ship for comparison. This is a favorite log for me. Thank you for your outstanding work. Larry Davis

I know I have made a lot of mistakes, but as I progressed I learned and redid. I beleave I have a fairly accurate set of plans but there is still a lot more to do. Larry: Your encouragement has spurred me on at times. It has been fustrating a lot of the times. The math is not difficult but finding the information was the biggest challenge. Thanks again everyone

Its not hard to understand how it can take someone literally years to come up with a final set of drawings. Well, at least as final as one can come up with. Finding information can be frustrating on its own. But finding various sources that conflict on the same matter can be downright maddening in trying to make a decision on which to go with.

There are mistakes and as I find more and more information through research of other ships, it becomes apparent that I rushed through it. I may go back and edit some of the work later as my notebooks get fuller with information. I like to give accurate information as I can. Again thanks Dave

The design of what I drew was based on British standards and not what was built in Canada at the time. So the framing would have filler frames in it. I can argue that Coleman was a British shipwright on a British dockyard. Until detailed pictures of the treenail pattern is established we may never know. Dave
