I am using a plan and getting inspired from the photos and videos of the replica of HMS Pickle which is in the UK. The scale of the model is 1/40, the main deck length is 580 mm. The photos will tell you what i have done so far. I am always open for advices, comments and criticisms.![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() [ Edited Sun Nov 03 2019, 01:41am ]

One of MSB's members, Gene Bodnar has an article on Navy Board Ship Models ( click on MSB home page link ) and he did his coppering of the hull using 1/4" (6mm.) wide x 6" (15 cms. lg.) copper tape. I have never done coppering but it struck me as cutting down a lot of fiddling with individual plates. Your hull looks very good! http://www.navyboardmodels.com/sites/default/files/documents/resources/hull_coppering.pdf Keith. [ Edited Fri Nov 01 2019, 02:19pm ]
