I had obtained the plans directly from the designer - Ted Brewer. I do not have an elaborate shop and ended up trying a rather unconventional method for the build. Some years later, having reached a decisive stage, I did not end up liking how it turned out. I therefore chose to set the previous attempt aside and start over, with Underhill's books as my guide. I think it is coming along much better, and I am much more pleased with the result. I'm struggling a little with reducing the image file size - will post shortly

It looks like a nice close grained wood. Nice to see you have closer spacing for the bulkheads. It makes for better planking later. Keith.

Hello Keith, I am using the station lines direct from the drawing so it is less work for me and it turned out reasonably close. The wood is poplar. I found it easy to work and very reasonably priced. For now I prefer to use cheaper wood so that I am not afraid to try different things and mistakes are not that expensive. The ship is a 68' gaff rigged schooner http://www.tedbrewer.com/sail_wood/treeoflife.htm designed by Ted Brewer in Canada. I have a particular fascination with schooners and I really liked the simple lines on it - it makes it easier for me to progress with my skills [ Edited Thu Aug 22 2019, 08:52am ]

And this is how it displays: Note, I edited the link in the original post so it now works.
