I don't see much difference to cardboard esp if the styrene is quite thin. For me and my target audience paper is the preferred method as I can digitally send the PDF blueprints and they can just print it at home with all the "painting" already on the parts. But I remember building things out of styrene with my father as a kid and I guess one could just use the part shapes and build the same model out of styrene and then maybe work surface details on either by scratching lines or adding surface details. And then paint the whole model. The styrene would "weld" better with glue. On the practical side ... I have loads of cardboard stacked in my work room and no styrene ![]() Chris

Now it's starting to look like a real ship. Next I need to work on optimizing the attaching of the square sails and adjusting the jib sails. Then I can add the weathering layers and repeat these steps for the final advanced build. All the black fillers on the ratlines and top of sails will be cut out! Chris ![]()

Of course after 10 or so we wanted to stop, so our father had to invent incentives to make us go on ![]() Abut the old Egyptian Tombs, today they would add a twin high PS engine motor boat ![]() Chris
