I veered from the dunbrody plans here and as I showed previously created the rounded (in profile) the stern to match the painting of the William Carson. It was hard to tell where the last 1/2 frames ended and where the counter timbers began so I just picked a spot on my own. the counter timbers seem a bit long to me but it worked out in the end. As with all the frames I do most of the sanding before installation to limit the tedious fairing afterwards.![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I may have made a mistake as this is supposed to be a merchant cargo ship and I just finished installing the shelf for the accommodation deck from the Dundrody plans that the ship is based on (a passenger ship). I also spent considerable time drawing the accommodation deck structure that will most likely need some modifications or even left out for the Wm Carson.

Then your making the frames, pegging them and then framing in the rest of the ship. Outstanding job. Later Tim

It is important to spend a lot of time on the drawings as it can save a lot of time trying to make things fit properly. Please note the construction and line drawings come from the dunbrody that I bought on line. I did have to create the frame drawings (lofting) from the line drawings.
