I did notice that you had some joint problems and there were some minor gaps between the joints (common problem with ones first model) and could not tell if you managed to take care of them before painting. In the event that you didn't, for future reference, there's a quick fix for that if you build another model that you have to paint. Buy yourself a small can of wood filler. After your initial sanding, apply the wood filler to the joints to fill them in, let it dry and re-sand. That should give you a nice smooth finish to paint over. Just a quick note on filler. Only use it for something that is going to be covered by paint. Applying stain or some other finish over it will give you an unsightly mark on your model. | ||

I did paint the model, but I did not like how the paint set on the wood. The white seems to look almost like a light cool blue or metallic, so I went to the hobby store and got some more paint. Before I paint I will use the wood filler and sand as you suggested. Then next the rigging. -Dan | ||
