I bought a 1:96 scale HMS Victory, made by Mantua, with some Christmas money and am starting out now. I 'laid the keel' a few days ago on Jan. 7th and have half the bulkheads cut out now--but not the internal deck openings yet. I plan on putting up a build log with the pics I've taken so far, so you'll be seeing them soon.

My Mantua Kit (No. 776) does not provide any real guidance on how the masts are attached, and I don't see anything in your log showing how you did it either. Being an engineer, I'm interested in making these things very solidly attached to the framework--not just 'glued on' somewhere and hoping for the best. I've got my ideas, but I'd like to see some examples of how others have solved the problem of masts. Do you have any photos showing how they're attached?
