This time using a rather different method and a very modern design. She is the Oyster 885. I had contacted the manufacturer - as they are based in Southampton nearby, however they refused to share any plans par from the ones they had on the website. So it's perhaps not the most professional way but it has been mostly eyeballed from these plans. I've done most of the digital model the last few weeks and I am now in the process of figuring the best way to have her cut on the CNC machine. If anyone is interested in the process give me a shout and I can go in more depth. First time doing this so I'm learning how to do this along the way as well. Here are the plans I am currently working with alongside a few others ![]() A snapshot of her current stage she is at on the computer ![]() Here is the sections she will be cut on the cnc. She is a medium sized model, however the maximum height the machine can cut at is 90mm. So I've split her hull at the waterline. ![]()

I have since then tried flipping her on the side to cut the hull and windows out however something in the script didn't like it and has dug a hole into the side of her. Not sure why, so I'm trying another method this week. ![]() [ Edited Mon Feb 01 2016, 01:33pm ]
