The Batteau looks nice and still doable at 1:36 yet i think i have found a little problem. The plans state that the frames are 1/8inch/ 3,2mm wide, yet from actualy measuring i get a width of 3,8mm. While half a milimetre at 1:24 isn't that much of a problem, at the reduced scale of 1:36 i now either have the choice of 2mm wide wood or 2,5mm wide wood (for practical reasons neither the more accurate 2,13mm nor 2,53mm are viable) and i need to know what i should use. Thanks in advance, Daniel

The only other alternative is to use CAD and redesign the drawings in CAD to work for the available wood which could end up being a lot more work than having them rescanned and printed at the slightly larger or smaller scale. Take care, Bob [ Edited Wed Sep 23 2015, 09:54pm ]

When you print the drawings from the PDF printer screen are you printing them at "Actual"? or "Fit to Page"? If you select fit to page you might get a different result than you are expecting. You can also experience minor printing variations from printer to printer. That being said, the Batteau came in varying sizes and shapes so you have some leeway to do as you please (i.e. follow Bob's suggestion).

Then use the closest plank you have to the proper thickness on all other planks. That way you only need to scratch build two planks...L and R garboards. You will need to do a little math to determine the garboards size.
