The company was Sincennes-MacNaughton. I believe it has been absorbed by McAllister. Anyway, they had both tugs for harbor work and passenger ships which ran up and down the Richelieu to Lake Champlain, and up and down the St-Lawrence to Montreal and possibly Quebec City. I looked all over the web for records or mention of the one in the photo to no avail. Judging by the various photos, I'd say the one is pictured in is likely a passenger ship by the looks of the crew. Still all the family lore refers to tugs and one uncle mentioned that one of them towed or pushed a dredging barge. So to boil this down I'd like to find which type of tug SM operated during the period 1905-19015 and either technical drawings or photos of one. Failing that, I'd settle for a generic tug of the era which I could decorate to look like the photo. here is what I found so far. ![]() [ Edited Fri Jan 09 2015, 11:34am ] | ||
